From the University’s Old College in South Bridge, cross over the road into Drummond Street and head down towards the Pleasance. Approximately 200m down this road, turn right into Roxburgh Street. EI offices (No. 1) are on the corner of Roxburgh Street facing back up towards South Bridge.
Edinburgh is well placed on the Scottish motorway network so getting here is easy with regular bus services from all major UK cities. The nearest bus stops to EI offices are located on South Bridge and Nicholson Street.
Edinburgh has excellent rail links throughout the UK. EI’s offices are a 10 minute drive by taxi or a 15 minute walk away.
Edinburgh Airport (to the west of the city) is well served by regular routes to/from airports throughout the UK and Europe, with connecting flights enabling access from all over the world. The airport is about 12 km from the city centre. The 30-minute journey can be easily made using the frequent airport bus or tram services, or by taxi.
Travel times by road are less than you might think. From the south: Birmingham is about 5 hours away; Manchester and York, 3 hours; Newcastle, 2 hours. From the north: Inverness is about 3 hours away; Aberdeen, 2 hours. From outside Edinburgh, the easiest way to reach EI offices by car is via the Edinburgh City Bypass (A720).
